New Project: WPX Rugged Handheld: Amphibious Airbourne Robot

The WPX from www.mobilecrossing.com has it all!

The WPX: an impact and chemically resitant, water and dust sealed portable device. Thanks Calvin Chu at mobile crossing!

Future Project: Blackberry Robot - RIM rocks to the nth degree!

The Blackberry: 8800 - Very nice device! If I have the time and money I will build a Blackberry Bot.

Way to go Jim Balsillie, Mike Lazaridis and and all the great people over at RIM!

Ultimate Neural/Machine Interface: FMRI: Mind Reader - Click the picture

BrainGateT Neural Interface System

I worked for a Medical Imaging company and have researched this in the past. Different notes hummed in your head could move the mouse in a particular direction, another clicks the mouse, but this is taking it to a new level, opening the door to amazing artifical limbs and exoskeltons! My dream while I worked there was to create a device capable of cellular level scans.

Preventative maintenance is what I liked to call it. The Scenario: You goto your doctors office for a checkup, walk into a shower like chamber. The Super NMRI scans down from your head to your toe and on the way up zaps any defective cells with colliding particle beams that never miss. No one ever develops cancer because it was zapped the moment it was deemed abhorrent. This requires an immense amount of prosessing power! Which leads into another area of interest... Quantum Computing. I have also researched cellular reprogramming (making white cells smater) but I prefer the scan and zap approach because we can't really control a bio-process (mutations, etc.).

ICQ - Institute for Quantum Computing - Ray Laflamme

With Ray's computer (if he doesn't end up in an alternate universe Parallax ) we can build the SuperScan and many other incredible things!

Perimeter Institute - Great place! They hold open house sessions and lecture series so there is always something very interesting going on! Black Hole Bistro!
